Ineffective waste management systems, rapid economic growth, diverse waste characteristics, and lifestyle contribute to complex environmental problems. With a population of 2.4 million and an increase of 0.89% per year (2015 data), Medan City generates significant waste. Oil Palm Shell Powder: A Promising Seawater Purification Oil palm shells in solar distillation are proven to improve overall energy efficiency. Oil palm shells help maintain a high temperature in the distillation device, accelerating the evaporation and condensation processes. As a result, more fresh water is produced in less time. With increased energy efficiency, solar distillation devices using oil palm shells become more productive and useful, especially in areas with limited access to clean water 25 April 2024
