The Chancellor of USU in his speech touched on the challenges that FMIPA will face in the future. The Chancellor said that FMIPA leaders, lecturers and students must be able to transform and continue to innovate.

The transformation in question refers to the classroom including learning methods. According to the chancellor, classrooms are no longer dominated by lecturers and students but rather innovations that link education, research and community service.

"At the age of 57, it is not easy, in fact the tasks of the dean, head of study program, and lecturers are to transform the way of teaching, transform and then the results of what they do become more regular," said the chancellor.

The Chancellor added that this transformation depends on the contribution of lecturers and students, especially research results, so that USU's FMIPA research products can be downstream and enter the research industry.

"Well, this depends on the contribution of ladies and gentlemen, lecturers and students to strengthen the transformation that we are carrying out and accelerate the transformation that we are carrying out," explained the Chancellor of USU.

Meanwhile, it is known that USU's FMIPA has contributed 130 publications indexed by Scopus. So that through the anniversary theme raised, it is hoped that all researchers from USU's FMIPA will be able to collaborate with other large universities. This was conveyed by the Dean of FMIPA USU Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc.

"On our 57th anniversary, we raised this theme because in terms of publications, we were among those who contributed quite a lot of publications, until this December 130 publications were indexed by Scopus, but usually they stand alone only in their respective study programs, but do not collaborate with education or other universities," said the Dean of USU FMIPA.

Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M,Sc. also added that USU's FMIPA will continue to improve competencies both in the aspects of educational staff, teaching staff and infrastructure that supports research.

"Improvements in the field of human resources, especially the competence of educational staff, teaching staff also their competence, and especially in the area of infrastructure that supports research, of course we have to plan carefully, with certain strategies," explained Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc.
