USU Hospital Wastewater Treatment Plant is safe The Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Hospital is generally considered to be within safe limits and not polluting the environment. This conclusion was reached following an evaluation by the UPT River Water Quality Management Office of Belawan-Deli under the Environmental Agency of the North Sumatera Provincial Government, as part of their monitoring and environmental management assessment. 12 December 2023
