Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Achieves High Marks in 2023 Award from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology

USU PR - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) achieved a high score in the awards conducted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology for 2023. With a Budget Performance Score (NKA) of 93.21%, USU was awarded the "Very Good" rating and secured the top position in the category of State Universities with Legal Entity status. The results were announced during the Mendikbudristek Award Ceremony at the Ki Hajar Dewantara Building, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Jakarta, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

“Our forest areas are not just research spaces—they are living ecosystems that reflect USU’s commitment to long-term sustainability,” said Prof. Dr. Rudi Hartono, S.Hut., M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Forestry. “By protecting these green zones, we ensure that students learn conservation by doing, not just by studying.”

Through these combined efforts, USU continues to advance SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by actively reducing social, economic, and geographic barriers to education. The university’s comprehensive framework also reinforces SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), demonstrating its institutional leadership in ensuring that access to higher education is fair, transparent, and inclusive.
